Local Fish bar, with an extensive menu catering for adults/children & with a thriving delivery service. Ordered Cod & Chips (large cod only) with small chips & cooked fresh when ordered. Purchased a bottle of their "Chip Shop Vinegar" too - total cost £12.75 - EXCELLENT VALUE. The Cod had a crispy, light batter with moist, flaky Cod inside & the small Chips were enough for 2/3 people. Staff are friendly & the interior is spotless. Well worth a visit

Earlier this evening I placed a delivery order & paid by card. Just before my delivery arrived, I received this payment on my banking app. There appeared to be an error, but before I was able to ring to query this amount, my order was delivered, together with a cash refund & a very sincere apology for the incorrect charge. Probably the tastiest mushy peas I’ve had in a long while if not ever. Very peppery, in a good way. Fish cooked fresh to order. Batter nice and crispy. Very good chips, a bit sticky (in a good way) with some crispy as well. Worth the diversion on the way home to Bristol.

I tend to stick to what I know, so always went to another chippy until my boyfriend grabbed us food from Bettws chippy one evening - now I honestly don’t think I would go anywhere but Bettws fish bar! The food was amazing - hot and fresh, with not a single bone in my cod. The batter on the fish was crispy and delicious, legit the nicest batter I’ve had. Portions are really generous (I had a small meal and struggled to finish my food) and service is 10/10. Ooooh and the Irish curry sauce is a must. Definitely my new fave chippy by a long shot.
